Good morning Year 6,

I hope that you have all had a fantastic weekend.

As mentioned on Friday, this week is 'Children's Mental Health Week'. To celebrate this and raise awareness, you will notice that our afternoon sessions have been linked to the '5 Ways to Wellbeing' which we focussed on in PSHE last week: connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and give.

Within English, we will leave the rainforest for this week and explore the text 'The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse' by Charlie Mackesy. It is a brilliant book with many great messages and I am very much looking forward to sharing it with you.

In addition to the above, it is also 'National Storytelling Week'. Could you tell a story to someone? It could be to a family member or friend. You could use toys or puppets or you could reenact it yourself.

Whatever you decide to do, it would be lovely to hear about it!

As always year 6, if you have any questions about this week's learning, you can contact me using the class email: year6class@scotby.cumbria.sch.uk

Keep letting your light shine year 6

Miss Bradley
