Wednesday 3rd feb

This morning we are holding our first virtual assembly. Please use the link under the tab that says Children on the website then the tab for Collective worship, click on Infants and use the link for our class. The assembly is at 9:10am. Two children will be awarded a shine light flame each week.

English

Listen to the poem( The Small dragon) using the link below by Brian Patten and read by him. Please ensure when your child is listening to the poem that they also follow the words in the text.

Then I would like you to write a letter to a friend or a relative to tell them you have found a dragon. You need to include in your letter:

Where you found it( using details from your map from yesterdays session).

What it looked like.

How it was feeling.

What it's nest was made from.

Remember this should be a descriptive  piece of writing so it should include adjectives and the use of similes as we have been working on these. Also refer back to the poem to support your writing.

I have include a letter format to show how to plan your letter out. You do not need to print it out and use it, just use the structure to support your writing.

Year 1 Spellings. Read the story and highlight the ire words. Remember you do not need to print the sheet out to do this.
