Flashback 4: Well done with yesterday's Flashback 4. Check out the answers in the image below. I think most of you found these relatively okay today.
Let's now take a look at today's questions.
Tips: Q4 - Remember to find a fraction of an amount, we ÷ by the denominator and x by the numerator.
For a bonus point today, can you name the shape in the top right corner and tell me its properties?
English: Check out this weeks writing challenge, which is based on the video 'The Lighthouse'. You should be well rehearsed for this week's challenge as it also involves writing from a character's perspective.
A template has been created for you on Purple Mash to submit your written work. You can access the challenge by clicking on the picture to the right.
Maths: Today we are going to have a little look at solving problems involving line graphs. We haven't done this for a little while, so in today's task, I would like to see what you can remember about reading line graphs. Before attempting to answer the questions, have a good look at the graph you have been provided with and think about what it is showing you. Check the scale too because these aren't always the same.
Log on to SATs Companion and complete today's activity 'Solve Problems Using Information in Line Graphs'.
Reading: It's wonderful to hear that so many of you have been finishing books lately. Don't forget to look and see if a quiz is available to complete on STAR Reader. Take some time today to get stuck into a book of your choice.
If you haven't had chance to yet, why not check out this summer's reading challenge 'Silly Squad'?
You can find out a little bit more about this by clicking on the picture on the left.
If you have read a good book recently, you could always use this time to write a book review to encourage someone else to read it too.
