Thursday 25th June 2020

Good Morning 6B

I hope that you are all well. There are still a fair few of you that I haven't heard from yet with regards to recording memories. Please can you send me a quick message to let me know that you have seen this and that you are on with organising it. If you are stuck please let me know and I will do my best to help you.

Please remember that your memories do not need to be funny.

For example:

My favourite memory of this year was competing in the teacher netball team as part of Sport Relief and having my gorgeous class cheering everyone on.

Please remember to send me 1 recording of you saying your favourite memory and 1 recording of you doing an activity you enjoy. (Both videos together should last no longer than 30 seconds.)

If you are unsure of what to do please get in touch. All videos must be with me by Sunday 28th June.

Suggested Timetable for Today

Morning Activities:

P.E: National School Sports Week

Flashback 4: Recap maths

Reading: Reading Skills

Maths: Find Unknown Angles

English: X-Ray Diary

Topic: Lesson 3 - Discovery & Learning

Spanish - Saying Your Birthday

P.E: Today's NSSW focus is adventure sports. Download today's activity choice sheet below and  choose your activity for the day. You may not heavve realised but you can click on the red titles for each activity. Remember to send some photos of you capturing the event.

Flashback 4: Let's start by checking out yesterday's answers.

Couple of tricky ones here:

Q2) It asked for an equation not an answer therefore you should have used a letter to represent the missing number, which many of you worked out to be 40.

Q3) You needed to first of all work out the value of each individual squares percentage value (100 ÷ 25 = 4). Each square has a value of 4% then multiply this by the number of shaded squares. (20 x 4 = 80%

Let's now take a look at today's questions:

Reading: Today we are going to be looking at language choices. Log on to SATs Companion and complete the activity. Read the questions carefully and make sure that you have understood what it has asked before answering.
Maths: Apply your learning from this week and complete the exercise on SATs Companion, which focuses on finding unknown angles around a point, on straight lines and that are vertically opposite. Aim for 80% to gain a trophy!

English: Hopefully, you have all had a chance to read chapters 13-15 (if you haven't yet, I have attached them below and included yesterday's VIPERS questions in the PowerPoint). Today, I would like you to write a short diary entry from the perspective of X-Ray. Download the slides below to find out a little more.

Topic: Today, we are going to be exploring some of the significant discoveries and studies which were led by early Islamic scholars, and recognise how they have impacted on the world we live in today.

Download the PowerPoint slides attached below and the activity sheet to find out more. Remember you don't need to print sheets off you can recreate them on paper by hand.

Spanish: Last week, you learnt how to introduce yourself. This week, you are going to learn how to tell someone when your birthday is. If you are feeling brave, send me a video of you introducing yourself in Spanish and tell me when your birthday is smiley. You can access this weeks lesson by clicking the image below.
