To access the lesson please click on the image to left as you did yesterday.
Make sure that you complete the independent task as well as the activities throughout the video.
UPDATE: THERE ARE A COUPLE OF ERRORS, WHICH HAVE KINDLY BEEN IDENTIFIED, QUESTION F WITHIN THE VIDEO AND QUESTION 5.
Question 5 should be:
1/3 x 2/5 x 3/4 =
Question F:
2/2 simplified = 1 (not 2)
I know that some of you may feel confident with this already so if this is the case, you may have a go at completing the worksheet attached below which allows you to practise the skill and build confidence. Remember to show your answers in their simplest form.
Spelling Shed: Please log on to Spelling Shed and practise Challenge List 18.
Aim to reach Royal Bee status as opposed to just completing the minimum of 5 attempts.
You could always message a few friends and create a hive game from the comfort of your own home.
English/Reading: This half-term we are going to be exploring the text 'Holes', which is a fantastic book to read when it is hot outside. (You will understand why when you start reading.)
Everything you should need is included in the presentation, however, I have included a PDF version of the text just in case you can't access the text through the slides.
Topic Work:
Over the last half of the Summer Term, we will be exploring what life was like in Early Islamic Civilisations. This links well with our R.E topic as we continue to find out what it is like to be a Muslim in Britain.
Using the BBC Bite Size website, I would like you to find out about Islamic culture during the middle ages.
When you have finished reading the information, take some time to watch the video by clicking the 'video' tab at the top.
Task:
I would like you to focus primarily on the information on slides 7 and 8 to create your own information sheet about Early Islamic Civilisation.
You can present your work as a poster, PowerPoint, information leaflet or, if you are feeling creative, you could create another explosion book.
Try to make your information as bright and appealing as possible but make sure that it is clear and easy to read.
You could use some of the sub-headings on slide 8 to help to organise your information.
Remember to not copy content, but to explain it in your own words.
I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with so make sure you send your work over.
