Welcome to Year 2! 

It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to school refreshed and ready to learn!

This page is to keep you up to date with class routines and general information.

As outlined in the Transition Booklet, P.E. is on Mondays, please ensure your child comes to school wearing dark shorts, joggers or leggings and trainers. Long hair should be tied back and stud earrings taped up or out please.

Mrs Cameron will teach the children on Thursday afternoons.

Friday 11th September

• Today I am sending home Spelling Books.

Inside the front cover are your child's login details to Spelling Shed. In the back are the Common Exception Words for Year 1 and 2. The Year 2 words will be covered as Challenge Words by Spelling Shed over the course of the year. Also in the back of the Spelling Book is this half term's Spelling Overview.

Spelling Books should be in school on Thursdays and will be returned on Fridays with the week's completed test and next week's spellings to practise.

• I am sending home MyMaths letters which include login details for your child. MyMaths tasks are set each Friday and need to be completed by the following Thursday.
• I am sending home Purple Mash login details. There are currently no 2Dos set but there are games and activities available to support all curriculum areas.
• Phonics and Guided Reading will begin next week and your child will bring home a book or books to practise.
• Your child will also be bringing home their CLICs and LearnIts today and every Friday. Please see Homework section for further details.
