Welcome to team Year 4!

Spring Term:

The children have returned from the Christmas break with their usual enthusiasm and they are very excited to start preparations for u-Dance!

Home Learning continues as it did last term.

The statutory Times Table Check for Year 4 will take place early in the Summer Term. The children regularly practise their tables in class and using TT Rockstars. Please log in daily to TT Rockstars to keep the table facts 'ticking over'.

Many children have already 'gone green', super well done!

The children have iPads this year to support and enrich their learning experience. We have been discussing how to use them and keep them safe each day and are discovering new ways that they will accompany our lessons. 

Our PE day is Monday.

Children should come to school in the correct PE kit with earrings removed and long hair tied back. During the winter season, a waterproof is essential in case of rain at breaktimes and PE time.

Homework:

Homework will be set every week on a Friday and will be due the following Friday. This has been explained to the children in class. Each week, the children will have tasks set on My Maths, Spelling Shed and TT Rockstars and ZPD reading.

Please try to read your ZPD books each day, we will be completing our Star reader quizzes in class each week.

If you need any help with passwords, or have any questions, please get in touch with the office and we will be able to provide you with them.

Year 4 pupils and the Times Tables Check:

We will practise all of our times tables, 1-12 throughout the year. Please make sure you are practising your times tables at home daily to support the recall of times tables facts. 

Please continue to log on frequently to TT rockstars to support your recall and fluency of your times tables ahead of the times table check in the Summer Term.
