Today we are starting our new class text.
I would like you to look at the picture of the front cover of the book and think about these questions.
- What do you notice in the picture?
- Is there anything you like about it? Why? Why not?
- Is there anything you dislike? Why?
- Does it remind you of anything?
- Does anything puzzle you?
- What kind of story do you think this will be?
- What would you like to find out?
Talk to an adult about these questions and then write down your thoughts in full sentences. I can't wait to hear your thoughts?

Use the sheet attached to colour 1/2 the shapes. Look at the way 1/2 is written this is a fraction.
