Flashback 4:  You know the drill boys and girls, let's take a quick look at yesterday's answers.

Many of you getting 4/4 today. Let's take a quick look at question 3 - those ratios can be tricky. I would always recommend setting these questions out using the following method.

green : blue

   3     :   2

   15   :   ?

By setting out like this, we can quickly see what we have multiplied by to get from 3 - 15 ( 3 x 5 = 15). Therefore, we also need to multiply the 2 by 5, so the answer is of course 10.

Just check with question 4 that you didn't forget to include the decimal point.

Now let's take a look at today's questions.

Don't get caught out by Q3 - fraction not ratio.

English:  I remember, as a child, getting very excited when the postman arrived and he had something for me. Hopefully, by completing this week's writing challenge, someone may send you a letter in the post and you can feel this excitement too. You can find out more about the challenge by clicking HERE.
Maths: Please log onto SATs Companion and complete the final reasoning paper of Set C. I have been very impressed by many of your scores in the recent papers. Several of you have shown excellent commitment to your learning and your reflective attitudes are highly commendable. One last push 6B!
Reading:  Please log onto SATs Companion and complete the final paper of the week. I know that we haven't made it to the end of the Holes text. However, I will put the rest of the chapters up next week, so that if you would like to finish the book you can do smiley.
Arty Maths: How many different tangrams can you make? Not sure what a tangram is? Check out Mr Kealoha's art maths challenge by clicking the picture on the right. Enjoy!
Enjoy the rest of your Friday!
