Good Morning 6B

Joke of the day: Why did the cow cross the road?

(See the bottom of today's class page for the answer)

I hope that you enjoy today's tasks and that you all have lovely weekend. Please feel free to get in touch throughout the day if you need any help.

Suggested Timetable for Today:

P.E: Blast Off

Mini Maths: Simplifying Expressions

English: Writing Challenge

Maths: Mr Kealoha's Maths Challenge

Reading: Cities in my Suitcase

Well-being: Nature Scavenger Hunt

Golden Time: 'Holes' Movie Clip

P.E: Get yourselves warmed up today by following the exercises in the video below.

Blast Off - Fresh Start Fitness | GoNoodle

Mini Maths: Check out the answers to yesterday's mini maths. I have posted videos again at the top of today's page to help with the multiplication and division by decimals questions.

Let's have a go at tackling today's questions. This time you have been given the answer but a number is missing from each expression. Can you work out what they are?

(Tip: Add up what you have and see how far away you are from the answer)

English: Many of you have been working incredibly hard on your non-chronological reports and it has been an absolute pleasure reading your work. However, if you are googling for ideas, please make sure that you rewrite them in your own words and that you do not copy huge chunks of text. I like to see what you can do on your own laugh.

Today we are going to take a little break from our non-chronological reports and I would like you to have a go at the writing challenge, which you can access by clicking HERE. A template has been set up on Purple Mash for you to use.

Maths: In addition to an English challenge each week, Mr Kealoha has also created a maths challenge. Please click HERE to find out what this weeks challenge is and give it a go!

Reading: Log on to SATs Companion and complete the reading exercise 'Cities in my Suitcase.' Remember to read the text and questions carefully and when you think you know the answer, double check it - don't try to do it from memory.

Well-being: Get yourselves outdoors and enjoy a scavenger hunt! Download the scavenger hunt checklist from below and see how many you can find when you go out for a walk. Some of the items on the list are seasonal e.g. conkers so I don't expect you to find them all.

Happy Hunting!
