Week Beginning 11/1/2021

Wow, it is the end of the week already. Joe Wick is back on today and I'm sure we will all have to sweat our way through it.

Make sure you take some time to read today, so find a quiet cosy spot and get lost in a story.

This afternoon you can complete the Geography lesson that was moved from yesterday because of the problems with the music. You can find it in the resources videos for today below.

Enjoy today and have a great weekend.

Music Lesson 2

Make sure you have the volume up. Carefully pause the video when needed. Note: When the slide (1min 52sec mark) says that the first piece of music starts with 4 beats it is the wrong way round. You will hear the video footage first which is 6 beats and the audio send which is 4 beats.

Good morning Year 4/5. I hope you had a productive day yesterday and it was so good to see you all again for our Zoom lesson including some new to them. It will be n again at 11.15. Maths should take less time so we will try to do the guided reading.

* To some of you, I sent an email yesterday because I will be doing a few extra Zoom sessions each week to help support specific areas of your learning. Please check your emails for the link and I hope that you can make it.

For today's English we have a little change. In order for some to catch up with yesterday's task, if you haven't finished yet can you complete it today. For those who have finished I have put up a couple of tasks on Purple Mash for you to complete. We will continue with the Rose Blanche work on Friday.

The powerpoint for music yesterday was not ideal so I have saved it as a video file. This will involve some quick pausing on some slides but if you need to repeat listen to the music or watch any videos again you can rewind as you need. Video above.

Zoom Session

Today is a live Joe Wick session; you can use the link on Tuesday or Wednesday to access that.

Please remember that if you are signed up for Lexia or Nessy you should continue to try to meet your daily usage. If you need your login details again please email the class email.

You can use yesterday's Zoom link today.

The link to the year 5 maths for today is taking you to the wrong questions. You can use the links below to get the correct questions and video.

Good morning all.

Let's get back into it. Start with Joe Wick  .We will be doing it in class so just know that we will be suffering in here too.

Please check in the resources folder where you can find an additional writing tasks for the week that practise this  weeks grammar focuses and are linked to our book Rose Blanche.

I apologise if the Zoom link didn't work for everyone yesterday, I hope the updated link below works for you all today. Year 5s, make sure you have something to write on as I will try to share a little task that you can work on whilst I work with the year 4s.

This week we will order things slightly differently. I will go through the Year 4 work first so year 5s can join a little later at 11.30am. If you would like to sit in on the year 4 session you are still more than welcome.

A big thank you for all of your hard work in our first week of remote learning. It has been great to catch up with you daily for our Zoom sessions.

Joe Wick starts to do his morning workouts at 9am again this week. I will be putting everyone in school through their paces to start the day, you should too.

Important notice: I will not be doing a Zoom meeting on Monday mornings as I will be out of the classroom but the story session will go ahead as normal at 2.15pm. Link below.
