TT Rockstars - BATTLE

Our battle against the Year 3 class began at 9am yesterday and it was a pretty even start, with the Year 3 class just ahead last time I checked.  Well done to the 10 children from our class who logged on yesterday and helped to keep us on track.  Let’s see if we can take the lead today.  Remember, the battle ends at 3pm on Friday.  You can do it Year 3/4!

As always, don’t forget to find some time today to keep active, either indoors or outdoors.  Can you think of something different to try today?  I have heard about a few physical challenges people around the country are trying.  Can you put a top on while doing a handstand for example?  If you prefer, Joe Wicks’ daily live P.E. session can be accessed here:

There is currently no Lesson 5 in the White Rose Maths sequence, so I thought I would give you a break from that today before we begin week 2’s lessons.  Instead, I would like you to log on to the My Maths  website and complete the money task that has been set.

If you are looking for an additional challenge, why not try the following money problem taken from the Puzzles and Problems for Years 3 and 4  document.

Please log on to Spelling Shed  and complete the online activity set for you this week.

Lots of people have been doing incredible work for us during these last few weeks.  In the newspaper report that you read yesterday, there were examples of how different people have helped.  Can you think of people who have been helping you, your family and/or your community?

Your task today is to write a thank you letter.  You can write to one person in particular who has been helpful and caring, or you can write an open letter to a larger group(s) of people.  Remember to explain why you are writing in your introductory paragraph.  If you would like to type your letter, you can use the template on Purple Mash (set as a 2Do).

Topic - Geography

The BBC Bitesize website is now set up to deliver daily online lessons for home learning across the curriculum.  I would like you to try one today:

Year 4 – Introduction to maps

Please use the following link:

If you try Activity 2, (draw a map of your local area) then please take a photo if you can and email it to our class email address.

Try to set aside some time for independent reading.  If you are looking for something different to read, you will find a copy of the most recent edition of First News that we have under the ‘Children’ tab on our website.

If you have a Lexia or Nessy login, don't forget to keep up with your usage.  Try to spread it out throughout the week in short blocks (i.e. no more than 20 mins at a time).
