Today we're looking at measuring mass in KGs.

Year 2 - Week 10 - Lesson 2 - Measure mass in kilograms

This is "Year 2 - Week 10 - Lesson 2 - Measure mass in kilograms" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

Here's the PDF and word versions of the activities:

Mum thinks that Little Red has gone missing because she's been gone for so long. The police want to pin up missing posters around the woods where she was last seen, so we are going to make them! In the first box I'd like you to draw a picture of Little Red, then I'd like you to describe what she looks like in the second box. I want you to think of as many different adjectives as you can to describe Little Red. Think about what she looks like? What colour is her hood? Is it red, or it a rich, dark, velvety red? I can't wait to see what descriptions you come up with!

I've added a text box to the description so you don't need to print this out if you don't want to, you can type it out and email it to me. smiley

Reading - Ronald the Rhino

Can you remember yesterday's story? It's linked below if you didn't get a chance to read it.

Now we'll complete this imagine activity. There is a part A and a part B, plus a challenge activity. I'd like you all to complete part A. Part B and the challenge are optional. smiley

Some of you still have a book to finish on Purple Mash - if you think that's you, finish your book or complete this activity. The choice is yours!

Please watch this video linked below.

What is a true friend? Using the document below, write down or talk about with an adult what you think a good friend is.

Optional art - Nature sculptures

Nature sculptures are models made with materials found in nature.

Chose a place that you'd like to go. It could be the woods, the park or the beach. Have a think of all the natural materials you might find there. Can you draw a picture of what it might look like? This is what I made earlier today...

I'm kidding! If you've picked a woodland, you could use materials such as sticks, leaves and pine cones. What will your sculpture look like? I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Have a great day, I'll see you all tomorrow!
