Terrific Choice Tuesday 9th June
“It’s our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities” – J.K. Rowling.
What great choice will you make today? What will you choose to be? I choose to be determined!
Maths: non-unit fractions
Please watch the video below:
Then complete the activity below:
Please log in to the Busy Things website - I have login details on the page before this one, or you can find a guide above class pages. On the right hand side of the screen, if you scroll down you will find an ‘assignments’ tab. Click on this and you will find an activity where you have to summarise the story of Little Red Riding Hood in 6 steps.
In square 1, you can introduce the characters. Who are the characters in the story? How are they introduced? Where are they in the story?
In squares 2 – 5 you could write about the plot of the story – how does it develop? Can you outline the most important events?
In box 6, write about how the story ends.
It's like a story map, we've done lots of these in class so hopefully you'll enjoy this!
If you don't have access to a computer screen, don't worry, you can complete this on a sheet of paper if you like.
Reading: chapter 2
Please log on to Purple Mash where you will find chapter 2 of the book you are reading with an activity to complete afterwards.
Write out five Common Exception Words of your choice in your neatest handwriting, as this will help you learn how to spell these too. I've linked a document to support you below but please don't feel you have to print this, you can just pick five of the words and write them down.
Geography: The UK
We looked at the UK at the very start of Spring Term - do you remember learning all about Wales? I thought it would be nice to recap the UK and its four countries. There are two activities to complete too.
That's it for today, take care and I'll see you tomorrow!
