Thursday 26th March 2020

P.E.

Have you joined in with Joe Wicks’ daily live P.E. session yet, which he streams live from 9-9:30am every weekday morning?  You can access it using the following link: https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1

Alternatively, or in addition, why not go out into the garden (hopefully with the sun shining again) and run some laps, practise your throwing, catching and aiming skills, or set up an obstacle course and time how long it takes you to complete it.  Can you beat your time?

Quick Maths

Please log on to My Maths and complete the task set for today – ‘Angles ’.

An additional task has been set too, either ‘Mixed sums over 100'’ or ‘Mixed tables'.

Maths

Complete the second ‘Find and Measure’ sheet.  Estimate the weight or capacity of a variety of objects around your home.

Extension: Revise equivalent measures.

Remember, 1kg = 1000g so 3kg = 3000g

Remember, 1l = 1000ml so ¼ l = 250ml etc.

Reading

You can log on to the Star Reader website and complete book quizzes at home or, if you are struggling to find books within your ZPD range, try reading and taking quizzes on the articles which can be found on the Accelerated Reader homepage.

If you have a Lexia or Nessy login, don't forget to keep up with your usage.  Try to spread it out throughout the week in short blocks (i.e. no more than 20 mins at a time).

English

I have provided a booklet of Spring-themed English activities below.  Please choose one or two activities at the most to complete today (another to be chosen tomorrow, with the rest available to complete over the Easter holidays if you would like).

Computing

Continue and complete your castle and sun image using 2Logo on Purple Mash.  Thank you to those children who have already 'handed in' their work - here are some examples of completed castles so far:

People often recognise the need to take care of themselves first before they can

care for or love others.  However, Jesus’ example shows there is a need to also do

things for others ahead of yourself.  Discuss:

Have you ever put your friends before yourself?

Think of times you have put others before you.
