Hi guys, have I mentioned to you recently how awesome you are? Thank you for your dedication to your learning during these uncertain times. I miss seeing your little faces every day but it makes me so happy to know you’re engaging with these activities. heartheart

It’s VE Day tomorrow – do you know what that means and what its importance is?

History/Maths/English

Please watch this video. It is video aimed towards Key Stage 2 children so parents - you might want to watch the video first to decide whether you want to show this to your children. It briefly shows the destruction of the atomic bombings in Japan.

Let’s plan a (stay at home) street party (garden picnic) to celebrate 75 years since VE Day! Below you will find a plan I’d like you to fill out ready for your party tomorrow. You will need to think about your guests, what food you want, if you’re going to have any decorations and if you need to consider any special preparations.

Your budget is only £10! Can you plan a fabulous party and keep within the budget?

You can draw me a picture of what your party is going to look like and email it to me if you like, I’d love to see them!

I have also attached some fun VE day themed activities for you to enjoy.

You can also read chapter 12 of Fantastic Mr Fox with me today - we'll watch it today rather than tomorrow!

Story time with Miss Q - Fantastic Mr Fox - chapter 12

I hope you have enjoyed your VE Day themed activities ready for tomorrow. It has been a short week this week due to it being a bank holiday tomorrow. Have a great bank holiday weekend and I’ll see you on Monday!
