Today’s challenge: Addition 5 Minute Frenzy

Choose one of the sheets below, (either numbers to 10, 2-digit numbers to 50 or 2-digit numbers to 100) use a clock or timer set to 5 minutes and see how many calculations you can answer correctly in that time.  Did you beat the score you achieved on Tuesday?

Yesterday, you should have reached the end of your guided reading text on Purple Mash.  I hope you enjoyed reading it and completing all of the related tasks.  Your final task is to write a book review, which will include a brief summary as well as your thoughts about the story.

  • What was your favourite part/least favourite part and why?
  • Who would you recommend this book to?
  • Would you want to read more books by this author?

This task has been set as a 2Do on Purple Mash.

If you haven’t already done so, please log on to Spelling Shed and try to complete this week’s game 5 times.  Remember you can increase (or decrease) the difficulty if necessary.

If you have completed this assignment and you are looking for something else, why not try one or two of the activities from the ‘Challenge Weeks’ pack.  You can use this week’s spellings or choose some of the tricky words from the Year 3/4 additional word list.

If you have a Lexia or Nessy login, don't forget to keep up with your usage.  Try to spread it out throughout the week in short blocks (i.e. no more than 20 mins at a time).

Please follow the link below to an Oak National Academy music lesson.  In this interactive lesson you will learn about pulse. You will clap the pulse to lots of different pieces of music from a variety of genres and also learn some songs!
