Monday 29th June

Monday 29th June 2020

You could start your day by joining Joe Wicks for his live P.E. session which can be accessed here: .

There is now a reduced timetable, so Joe’s sessions will only be live at 9am on Mondays and Wednesdays, as well as 9am on Saturday mornings.

Are you looking for something different to do?  Why not click on the video below to get that sunshine in your pocket and that good soul in your feet as you dance, dance, dance along with the Trolls!

Trolls: Can't Stop The Feeling | GoNoodle

We will continue to read this Twinkl original eBook which is set in the Stone Age.  This week’s reading and writing tasks focus on Chapter 3.

Suggested timetable for this week’s tasks:

Monday – read and/or watch the video of Chapter 3 being read and then answer the related comprehension questions.

Tuesday – complete ‘The Present Perfect Tense’ – Part A.

Wednesday – complete ‘The Present Perfect Tense’ – Part B.

Thursday – complete the accompanying ‘Vocabulary’ task.

I have provided the resources needed for today’s reading comprehension task.  Each day I will upload any additional resources needed for follow-up tasks according to the timetable above.

How to Skin a Bear Chapter 3

We will begin by using the slideshow from the Spelling Shed website to introduce the spelling rules.  Hopefully an adult can work through the slideshow with you and direct you with the tasks, using the lesson plan as a guide.  Feel free to adapt the tasks as you wish.

If you have a Lexia or Nessy login, don't forget to keep up with your usage. Try to spread it out throughout the week in short blocks (i.e. no more than 20 mins at a time).

Quick Maths

Today’s Busy Things assignment is a ‘Length Quiz’.  Choose either the Year 3 or the Year 4 quiz (or try both if you wish!)  You will be able to review your answers once you have submitted a quiz and this will show you which questions you got right and wrong.

History – The Bronze Age

Today I would like you to find out about some of the changes that happened in Britain from the Neolithic era (New Stone Age) to the Bronze Age.  You can read the information in the PowerPoint below and follow the links to watch the videos for additional information.  Instructions for two follow-up tasks related to this research will be given over the next couple of days.
