Why not start your day by joining Joe Wicks for his daily live P.E. session which can be accessed here: https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1
Alternatively, ask someone to set you a physical challenge either indoors or outdoors. You can always let us know what you have been doing to keep active by sending us a quick email.
Please log on to My Maths and complete the task set for today: either ‘4 Times Table’ or ‘Doubling and Halving’.
We are going to go back to using the White Rose Maths home learning resources this week, though the BBC Bitesize lessons are always available using the address listed in our ‘Useful links’ section. We will alternate between the White Rose and BBC Bitesize resources depending on the focus for each week’s lessons.
Remember to watch the introductory video and then complete the associated tasks. Answers are provided for parents to check at the end. Please follow one of these links:
Summer Term – Week 2
Lesson 1 – Add fractions
Summer Term – Week 2
Lesson 1 – Round decimals
We will begin again by using the slideshow from the Spelling Shed website to introduce the spelling rules for this week. Hopefully an adult can work through the slideshow with you and direct you with the tasks, using the lesson plan as a guide. Feel free to adapt the tasks as you wish.
Have a go at one of these English lessons on the BBC Bitesize website using the links below:
Y3 = Identifying adverbs
Y4 = Identifying and using prepositions https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zh8nscw
Last term you thought about re-designing the reading area in our classroom and you had some very creative ideas. What about at home - do you have a favourite place to read? Have you or could you create a cosy reading space indoors or outdoors? Wherever you like to read, try to set aside some time to read independently or aloud to someone in your family.
If you have a Lexia or Nessy login, don't forget to keep up with your usage. Try to spread it out throughout the week in short blocks (i.e. no more than 20 mins at a time).
Topic - Geography
Last week you had a go at identifying counties in England. This week I would like you to use one or both of the maps provided, or an atlas that you have at home, to help you identify the location of a number of cities throughout the whole of the UK. There is an interactive game set as a 2Do on Purple Mash for you to complete.
