Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for books and stories.

Thank you for the Bible, which tells us more about you.

Thank you for the opportunity to learn to read so that we can discover these things for ourselves.

Thank you that we can remember what Jesus went without in the wilderness.

Thank you for the food that we have to eat.

Thank you for all the things that bring us joy and happiness.

Help us to use this power well.
