I hope you all had a great day yesterday.
PE with Joe today or some yoga to get us in the mindfulness mood today. I’ll be doing this pokemon one.
Please watch the video below called ‘Partly Cloudy’ Can you write a letter to Gus, the grey cloud as if you are Peck, the stork? You have two options:
White Rose week 2 lesson 5 – equivalence of a half and 2 quarters
If anyone is finding the fraction work difficult, please let me know and I’ll do a video about it next week before we move on to a different topic.
Some of you still have minutes to complete, please ensure you get your usage up by the end of the week.
Let’s finish the week by focussing on positive things.
Let’s sit very quietly. Try and clear you mind. If it helps, you can close your eyes. Now, think of a happy thought. This could be something you are looking forward to or a happy occasion you were part of. It might be a thought about a particular person or place that makes you feel happy.
Positive thinking means looking for the good in things, rather than the bad. A positive thinker focuses on making the best of a situation. Look on the bright side!
There is a saying, ‘Every cloud has a silver lining’ Some people think of clouds as grey and grumpy, like Gus looked in the video earlier. But lots of people say that even in a grey and grumpy cloud, there is something good - a silver lining.
See if you can write or draw a picture of something positive in your cloud.
That’s all for this week folks. Have a great weekend, remember to look for the good in situations instead of focussing on the bad. I’ll see you on Monday.
