In the same way,
let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

This half term we are looking at food in the bible. This week we are introducing the topic and talk a little bit about Jesus saying ‘I am the bread of life’. (John 6:35). Over the coming weeks we look at various meals from manna in the desert (Exodus) to Peters vision (Acts) and as we are leading up to Easter we look at the last supper as well.
Thought for the week commencing 7th February
We hope you have had a good weekend and are looking forward to the half term holidays. I don’t know about you but this half term seems to have gone really quickly……
This time we are looking at Dorothy who wanted to go home and looking at the parable of the good Samaritan. (We have looked that this before but was a little while ago now). This story is found in Luke 10:25-37 and we look at where we belong and how that makes us feel. Our opening game is ‘guess which country this flag belongs to’.
We hope you have a good rest over the half term holidays and stay safe and well.
Thought for the week commencing 31st January
This week are continuing our Wizard of Oz series and today we are looking at Wisdom and specifically King Solomon from the bible who when asked what he wanted as a gift from God as he was about to take over the reign of his father King David asked for wisdom so he could lead the people well. Many of the proverbs written in the book for proverbs were things said by King Solomon. Many of these we would still think is really wise advice today.

Thought for the Week commencing 24th January
This week we are continuing the Wizard of Oz series – this time we are looking at the Cowardly Lion who wanted some courage. Have you ever had a task to do and just not had the courage to even start? We are looking at Queen Esther in the bible this time which was the situation she found herself in. (Find her story in the book of Esther in the Old Testament). Her family were under threat and she needed the courage to go and see the King and ask his help to protect them. Sounds easy enough but to go and see the king without permission was dangerous……………..

Join Rachel, Hayley and Becky as they continue to look at Bible heroes - this week it's Silas' turn.
We don’t know a lot about Silas other than that he was a supporter of Paul (Paul we looked at a few weeks ago). Silas accompanied Paul through some difficult times and helped Paul to remember some of the scriptures which encouraged him during some dark and difficult days. The opening game is a memory game.

This week we continue looking at our favourite bible heroes and this week we
look at St Paul. Talk about an amazing transformation. He went from being a villain, determined to get them all arrested – to being the person people would go to for advice and support…… in fact much of the New Testament of the bible is letters written but him!
The reflection part this week is in 2 parts
It would have taken the early church great courage to forgive Paul and accept him.
– Is there someone you need to forgive?
-Who do you go to for advice?
Thought for the Week - 27th September 2021
Here is our thought for the week for this week. This week we introduce our new schools worker – Becky Hudson. Thought for the Week - 20th September 2021
Here is this week’s thought for the week. - Autumn 2021 TFW 2 - YouTube
This week we are looking at Gideon. His story can be found in Judges 6-8.
How Brave are you? Gideon, really wasn’t but was given a job to do that required him to find courage. Even when the odds were stacked against him he still lead a very small army and had a huge victory!
The reflection at the end is what or who gives you courage? Gideon got his courage from God and trusted it would all be okay even though he was scared.
Interestingly enough, did you know there are about 370 verses in the bible along the line of ‘do not be afraid’ – 1 for each day of the entire year and a couple of extra.
Next week we meet Becky, our new worker for the first time.
We hope you are having a good start to the school year, as always if there is anything we can be doing or praying about just let us know.
Rachel, Hayley and Becky.
